Making Sense
of the Patterns.
You apologize constantly.
You expect people to leave.
You shut down during conflict.
You become the peacemaker.
You don't trust anyone.
You feel responsible for everyone else's emotions.
You can’t relax.
You choose unhealthy relationships.
Parenting brings up memories you thought you'd forgotten.
People don't always realize those experiences can be connected to what happened through an ongoing traumatic situation or a single event. Trauma therapy can help you understand where these patterns came from and begin finding different ways to respond.
How trauma can continue to affect you
If you spent years learning that the world wasn't safe,
it makes sense that your nervous system still acts like it's protecting you.
We can't change what happened to you.
We can change how much control it has over your life today.
Some of the strongest people I know learned to survive situations they never should have had to survive. Survival was necessary then. It doesn't have to be the only way you live now.
A Place to Tell Your Story
You may have spent years keeping parts of your story to yourself, minimizing what happened, or wondering whether it was really that bad. You may be tired of carrying it around alone.
Therapy can be a place where you don't have to hold all of it by yourself. You can tell your story—to someone who will listen, who won't rush you, and who can help you make sense of what happened and why it still shows up in your life today.
Sometimes there is relief in finally being able to say the things you've been carrying and have someone stay with you in them. We can start there.
What We Can Work On Together:
Childhood abuse or neglect
Parenting foster or adoptive children
Difficult family relationships
Attachment wounds
Anxiety and chronic stress

Relationship patterns
Thinking about trauma incidents
Let's understand where this pattern came from—and then let's create a different one.
I’M HERE TO SUPPORT YOU IN EMBRACING THAT.
